Dr. Emmanuel Kenne Djunda
Consultant Anesthesiologist & Pain Physician
Dr. Djunda has practised medicine since 1999 and anesthesia at the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital since 2001, first as registrar, then senior registrar, and as a consultant since 2014. He has been the hospital's Chief Consultant Anesthesiologist since 2018.
Alongside theatre work he runs the hospital's pain clinic, prepares the department's theatre and call rosters, supervises newly certified anesthesiologists, and teaches resident doctors and medical students. Over the years his practice has spanned urban teaching hospitals, private clinics, rural hospitals and the Nigerian Navy Clinic, where he was the sole anesthesiologist for its theatre.
He is licensed with the Nigerian Medical Association and the National Order of Doctors in Cameroon. Outside the hospital he is a member of the Rotary Club of Calabar Unical, follows football, and spends his time with his family.
